Travels Through
Greco - Roman Antiquity
An exploration of texts and images from Falvey Library's Special Collections works on ancient Greece and Rome.

This project seeks to highlight classically-themed works in Villanova University Falvey Library's Special Collections.  By examining these works, Villanova students from Dr. Valentina DeNardis' Greek and Roman archaeology classes are exploring the many layers of the Greco-Roman world, looking back to the past at actual monuments and literary works from antiquity and moving forward to the time of the works in Special Collections and beyond.

To reach the Greece portion of the website, prepared by the fall 2014 Cities of Ancient Greece class at Villanova, click on the map of Greece below.  The Rome portion of the website is being developed during the spring 2015 semester by the Pompeii & Herculaneum class.  Check back at the end of the spring semester to explore ancient Rome.
